Bloomsburg Falls to Top Ranked Lock Haven in LacrosseBLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University lacrosse team dropped a 14-10 game to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) leading Lock Haven Bald Eagles on Wednesday afternoon. Lock Haven dominated the first half scoring 10 goals while the Huskies were held to just two. Cali Toms (Pottstown/Pottsgrove) and Brittany Lucchesi (Ambler/Wissahickon) scored the only two goals for Bloomsburg who was down 10-2 at the half. The Huskies opened up the second half with a 4-1 scoring run, seeing goals from Lucchesi, Toms, Allison McFatridge (Hatboro/Upper Moreland) and Sam Alexander (Willow Grove/Upper Moreland) that made the score 11-6, still in favor of Lock Haven. Bloomsburg added four more goals in the final 15 minutes of play, but Lock Haven held on for the 14-10 win. The Eagles (14-1, 9-1 PSAC) were led in scoring by Amber Hoch and Kim Penual who each had three goals. Jessica Blickenstaff added two goals and an assist for Lock Haven. The Huskies (5-11, 5-6 PSAC) were led by Lucchesi who scored five points off of four goals and an assist, while Toms had four points from three goals and an assist. Bloomsburg will play their final regular season game of the year at East Stroudsburg tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. |
